In support of her upcoming album, Holiday, Nova Scotian artist Jennah Barry has dropped her latest single, ‘Rocket’. The tune is entrenched in folk sensibilities, but its jaunty, bouncy feel provides a distinctly danceable edge. Despite this, layers of guitar and minimalist, looping drums combine to give off a hazy, dream-like atmosphere throughout. Barry’s vocals are optimistic and slot nicely into the overarching theme of the album; one of considerations about life and everything it holds.
